Update from Joan
-March 2008
Joan visits Dimensions
Even at
this late stage I am asking Stoke-on-Trent to visit Dimensions,
see the provision for families and people with disability, and
meet with me to see how we can use Dimensions to meet
participation in sport and healthy living targets.
Norton
Residents Association
Choosing
the Easter Bonnet under 7's and over 7's winner is just about the
most difficult task for Chair of Ball Green School Governors Neil
Dawson and myself. But thanks to all Residents Association Members
for a Palm Sunday Do, an Easter egg for every child, and to the
Liberty Dance Troop who entertained us all.
Chell
Heath Residents Association
Every
good wish to the new Chell Heath Residents Centre now that the
work is complete and the doors are open.
UCATT - Pleural Plaques
Campaign
I met
with members of UCATT and the UCATT Regional Secretary Steve
Murphy at the regional launch of the plural plaques campaign - the
campaign to
overturn the Law Lords decision to block compensation for victims
of pleural plaques, those who have suffered scarring of the lungs
caused by heavy and long term exposure to asbestos.
