Stoke Schools Amongst Most Improved in the Country

Stoke-on-Trent schools were celebrating today as it was revealed that they are amongst the top 20 most improved schools in the country.  The percentage of pupils achieving 5 or more A*-C grades has increased by an impressive 6.3% this year which is the 17th most improved authority in the country.

Local MP Joan Walley said “this is a reflection of all the hard work put in by both staff and pupils alike and I applaud their efforts.  Our schools are making great strides in improving the education of our children and it is essential we now keep this momentum going.  With the Government’s Building Schools for the Future investment soon to transform our school buildings I believe we will have an education system of which we can all be proud”.
